What is a Sales Funnel

Almost every business, online and offline, has some sort of sales funnel. But what is a sales funnel, exactly? And how does it work? In this blog post, we’ll take a look at the different phases of a sales funnel and provide an overview of how it works. So if you’re interested in learning more about this important business tool, read on!

Phase 1: Awareness

The awareness phase of the sales funnel is where people first become aware that your product or service exists. They might hear about you through advertising, social media, and even word-of-mouth!

How and why those people move down the sales funnel depends on your own sales and marketing ability. You want to pay the most attention to the leads in the middle and lower sales funnel phases because they’ve moved beyond awareness to interest.

The prospect’s first impression of you and your company is extremely important. They may make a decision based on that initial meeting, so it pays to be ready!

The awareness phase refers not just to how much we know about our prospects but also their perception – or lack thereof- starting with an accurate belief system towards both ourselves AND what we offer them as well…

Phase 2: Interest

Interest level is important in determining how much information prospects will trust you with. They’ll think about their problem and conduct research on competitors to make sure that what they’re getting from you has the best solution possible.

Phase 3: Decision

People who are interested in what you have to say will be more likely to buy from your business. That’s why it is so important for you to create a strong online presence with information about your offerings.

Phase 4: Action

You can always nudge your prospects in the right direction with campaigns that remind them of what they like and provide a service or product tailored to their needs.  If you didn’t get this far, don’t lose hope! You might not be ready yet but just keep working on nurturing relationships until it pays off at some point down the road. Maintaining good customer service habits is crucial for keeping up momentum when things slow down because every sale matters—even those made early on during an account buildup instead of late after it’s been established and fully committed.
