The short answer to this question is yes, but not for the reasons you think.
- Don’t post about your business on your Facebook personal profile. It’s okay to do this once in a while, but if you consistently post about your business on your personal page, your friends and family will become annoyed.
- When you are speaking to your target market, there is no such thing as posting too much provided you are posting value and not just posting promotional content. Plus, the way the algorithms are set up, not all of your followers will see every one of your posts.
- In point 2 above, I said target market. If your friends and family are supporting your business presence on social media, they may think you are posting too much.
- The only concern when it comes to how often you post is with regards to the social media platforms algorithm. 4 times a day is good, but if you do more than that, the algorithm may view that as too much and drive down engagement on those posts. The only exception to this is with Twitter. The average lifespan of a tweet is one hour so you could post every hour and your followers will still not see all of your posts.
